The Book Bus My bookstore on wheels sells books from the bed of a vintage 1962 Volkswagen pickup truck. Every title that gets placed on the truck is hand selected by me and there’s something for everyone. One of my favorite things about owning The Book Bus is meeting fellow booklovers and talking books. I also have a passion for getting books into the hands of kids who need them most. I take my profits from The Book Bus and buy children’s books for schools in low-income areas to help build classroom libraries and give students the opportunity to experience the joy of reading for themselves. If you're in the Cincinnati area, you may see me zipping around town.
Owner of Cincy Book Bus to open bookstore in Sharonville by WKRCWednesday, November 9th 2022
SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) – The owner of the Cincy Book Bus is opening a store in Sharonville.
The grand opening of “The Book Bus Depot" takes place Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
It is a five thousand square foot bookstore on Reading Road.
It will be home to the book bus and will sell both new and used books.
Owner Melanie Moore has been selling books from the back of a vintage Volkswagen pickup since 2019.
She donates 100% of net profits to underserved communities.
The Book Bus Depot will be open Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
