ABOUT
The Tall Rabbit Cafe + Community is Blue Jacket, Inc.'s fourth social enterprise designed to transitionally hire it's clientele desiring a chance to prove their worth in a very public way to the Fort Wayne community. Launched in December 2022, this coffee shop experience provides meeting and gathering spaces with many accomodations in a vintage, rustic throwback decor giving a subtle nod to the Tall Rabbit's namesake, Chief Blue Jacket. Tall Rabbit was his nickname. Baristas are trained in the espresso-based artisan drinks. A full menu with pastries, and coffee alternatives will be created soon.
About Blue Jacket Blue Jacket's mission is to provide training and opportunities to anyone with a barrier who is striving to earn gainful employment.
We envision that anyone with a barrier to employment wBlue Jacket, Inc. BBB Business Reviewill be restored with hope and provided capacity to obtain and retain employment because of Blue Jacket’s vast network and resources of support.
We are an accredited charity with the Better Business Bureau and a Gold Transparency rating from Guidestar.
Who we Serve Anyone over the age of 18 who understands English and is motivated to make it to the Blue Jacket offices every day on time during the The Academy process. If this person possesses a lack of education or certification, a criminal background, lack of a home, or is not able-bodied but in all of these barriers, highly motivated, we are here to help them. Blue Jacket serves adults with learning, developmental, and intellectual disabilities as well as most physical disabilities but is unable to serve those with severe disabilities.
