A LITTLE ABOUT US…
GOOD FOOD • GOOD VIBES • GOOD PEOPLE
Call Your Mother is a neighborhood bagel shop and deli with a mission to create extraordinary moments for everyday life. Really, when was the last time you smiled at your breakfast? With a flagship location in Park View, several new locations, and weekly farmer’s markets, Call Your Mother has become a destination for playful, nostalgic, comfort food with serious flavor… and with carbs at the center of it all.
Owned by chef Daniela Moreira and Andrew Dana, along with partner Jeff Zients, we began at farmer’s markets before opening our first location in the fall of 2018 in DC’s Park View neighborhood. Our sister restaurants are Timber Pizza, Turu’s Pizza, Mercy Me, and Ballston Service Station.
Signature bagels (with a hint of honey!) are the center of it all, along with creative bagel sandwiches and “Jew-ish” deli favorites. Both Andrew and Jeff are Jewish; their nostalgia of the eclectic food from their childhood and family traditions inspired the genesis of our menu. Dani is from Argentina and she brings a love of her family’s campsite cooking and bold flavors to the mix. Almost everything is made in-house; and if not, we source them from some super awesome partners like Z&Z, Logan’s Sausage, and Liberty Delights.
We aim to make a positive impact in our neighborhoods beyond just being a great place to eat and work. We are committed to supporting our neighbors, especially the people who have been in Park View the longest, such as providing breakfast for kids who need it right here on Georgia Avenue. Some of our other partners include: Urban Alliance to offer career training to area youth, AYUDA to help transform the lives of underserved immigrants, Food Rescue to do our part to end hunger, and Park Morton Kids Camp to make spaces for kids to be creative.
