Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Fiona on September 18, 2022, just two days before the 5-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria.

PR Food Factory

As major relief organizations mobilize to provide aid, once again small businesses are stepping up to help:

  • PR Food Factory in Houston, TX is owned by Cristina Carrion who is originally from Puerto Rico. She’s now leading local community efforts to raise funds and collect supplies for relief efforts.
Puerto Rican Juice Bar

Puerto Rican Juice Bar

  • Puerto Rican Juice Bar in Haines City, FL is owned by Norman Ruidiaz who still has family in Puerto Rico. He’s also collecting supplies and donating $1 from every sale for relief efforts.
Adelita’s Apparel

Adelita’s Apparel

  • Adelita’s Apparel is an immigrant-owned online apparel shop based in L.A., run by sisters Atziri and Yajahira Peña. They unashamedly use their platform to support immigrant rights, DACA Dreamers, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and today they are setting aside a portion of proceeds for Puerto Rico relief.
Mas Que Pan

Mas Que Pan

  • Mas Que Pan in Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX is a women-owned bakery donating 50% of Pan Por Puerto Rico Box sales to the Puerto Rican women-led nonprofit Taller Salud.
